Google announced that it will make two significant changes in search algorithm for ranking the mobile search result. It will be using the mobile-friendly factors in showing the mobile-based search result from April 21, 2015. But, it has started ranking mobile apps participating in App indexing signed in users higher in the search result from yesterday.
Google in the previous announcement stated it is labelling the websites that are mobile friendly to encourage mobile users to visit that site. But, with this announcement, this mobile-friendly factors will play an essential role in ranking a website higher in a mobile search result. With this change in algorithm, the mobile search result will be impacted in all languages worldwide.
Google further said, “users can find relevant and high-quality search result with seamless browsing experience in all devices”. It has started expanding mobile ranking demotion algorithm long ago in 2013. The reason for not launching the ranking factors now is that is a time it wants to provide to businesses to create mobile-friendly websites. The mobile ranking factors are already being tested recently by the firm.
